Seriously, this gotta be my worst countdown experience in so many years. Feeling so tired and yet i have to drag my feet down to marina bay. Stranded in such a big crowd, i felt breathless. On the other note, lots of thanks to Kent who accompanied me down despite the fact that he's alone and that he's working today!
So this is what happened yesterday...Met up together with Kent and we went down to Dhoby Ghaut in hope to find a ticket so that he can watch movie with my dar's friends along with me. Much to our surprise, we managed to get the ticket. Also, at the Cathay, we coincidentally met Lynn and Willy. After that bought some drinks from starbucks and we stroll down to esplanade there...When we reached there, the crowd was overwhelming. What's intriguing was that for such a BIG crowd, there was only 3 cubicle toilets. Long queue. And while me and Kent were talking, a foreign lady, who appears to be like a maid, cut into the queue in front of us. Well, didnt really bother to tell her off since it was only one person...
When the clock strikes 12 midnight, the firework went off. It was spectacular. The firework lasted for more than 5mins. The finale of the firework was superb. Dont know how to put it in words here, those who went would know. Haha.
Ok. After the firework we went back to the Cathay to catch our 1.30am show - Yes Man. Not a very bad show, out of 5, i would give a 3.5. Was abit disappointed with the seats at Cathay - the seats were shaky. Hmm...after the movie, we went to a bus stop behind somerset. Night Rider came and go without stopping. I think 5 or 6 NR 5 went pass and all were full. In the end we dont want to wait for our respective buses and instead me and Kent took NR 8 headed towards bukit batok. From bukit batok, we took cab home individually. Like this would be even cheaper than taking a cab from orchard area. Reached home around 5am...that's all for my experience for the first few hours of 2009; or should i call it an ordeal?
P.S Don't haphazardly say 'yes' unless u really want to...
